Everyone questioned the wisdom of Shyam Prasad Reddy when he cast Anushka in Arundhathi. His well-wishers suggested lternate names. But the producer stuck to his argument that Anushka, standing 5 ft 10 in tall in her socks, has the frame and fire to carry on the role of a royal heir.

There was lot of commotion and tension at Konark theatre in Dilsukhnagar in Hyderabad on Sunday when filmgoers attacked the theatre employees for selling tickets in black.Hundreds of film enthusiasts came to the cinema hall around 5 p.m. for watching the Telugu film Arundhati.
The staffers allegedly started selling tickets in black after issuing to only a few persons at the counters following which audience picked up an argument with them. Some of them even attacked staffers for not selling tickets at the counters.The police intervened and brought the situation under control.

M Shyam Prasad Reddy is producing a film titled Arundhathi with Anushka as the protagonist. This film is being directed by Kodi Ramakrishna.The story deals with Arundhathi who was born into a zamindari family and suffers because of the evil deecs of certain people. She is reborn in the same family in the fourth generation to seek vengeance.

In the present avatar, Arundhathi is shown as a highly educated girl with a modernistic outlook. She takes up the cause of decimating the actions of the villain played by Sonu Sood. She is helped in her war against evil by a fakir played by Sayaji Shinde and her husband Deepak.This rebirth thriller is getting ready for release.
